Nagara – Zebra Nishijin-ori Key Case

A quiet tension, held in everyday use

This key case is made exclusively from newly woven Nishijin-ori,
created for contemporary life.
No antique obi or recycled fabrics are used.

Production takes place in our own workshop in Osaka.
Within an environment shaped by 42 years of craftsmanship,
each piece is carefully handmade with the time it will be used in mind.

The Zebra pattern carries both order and subtle movement.
Neither strictly linear nor fully organic,
its flowing stripes shift gently with light and angle,
revealing a calm yet expressive presence.

Rather than asserting itself,
the pattern adds a restrained sense of tension
to everyday gestures and movement.
It blends naturally into the wearer’s presence,
quietly accompanying daily life.

Zebra Pattern and Nishijin-ori Expression

Nishijin-ori is a traditional textile from Kyoto,
known for the depth created through layered threads and woven shadows.

The Zebra pattern makes use of these qualities,
expressing its character not through sharp outlines,
but through rhythm and tonal contrast within the weave.

Calm yet distinctive,
it adapts naturally to both everyday and formal settings.

Six-Key Hardware

The main compartment is fitted with six-key hardware,
providing practical capacity for daily use
while maintaining a clean and composed form.

Smart Card Pockets

Two card pockets are placed on either side of the key hardware.
In addition to functioning as a key case,
it can also be used as a pass case for transit cards.

As a Piece of Wearable Craft

The Nagara Zebra key case is not designed to be the focal point of an outfit.

Instead, it brings balance to the whole,
quietly reflecting the aesthetic sensibility of its owner.

As a piece of wearable craft,
it is made to grow more familiar with time and use.

An optional gift wrapping set is available.
The set includes a Tatsumi original gift box and pouch.
